Colonial Williamsburg & Norfolk, Virginia: Spring '12

I am a member of Colonial Williamsburg Historical Society. Just attended their 66th Annual Garden Symposium. I enjoy their quarterly journal, their monthly on line newsletter and their weekly blog & pod casts. But nothing compares to actually being in Colonial Williamsburg! Summers there are warm and I enjoy being among their rare-breed livestock. Amazing. In Winter their door and window wreaths made from fresh fruits, feathers, Colonial card decks, etc.,and Colonial Christmas programs are a rare treat to behold. And in Spring, wool shearing and dying of that wool,as well as their gardens... again: amazing! I especially enjoyed one of my classes all about honey bee colonies.

I also like Norfolk. The James River is on the east, the Chesapeake Bay on the north, and the Atlantic on the east, make for an amazing place of beauty. Within 1 mile of the airport is the amazing Norfolk Botanical Gardens. I enjoy being on the Mid-Atlantic on up to the New England Atlantic seaboard. Be Well. Do Good.
